Cleveland has one of the deepest private-school traditions in the Midwest — Saint Ignatius, St. Edward, St. Joseph Academy, Gilmour, Hawken, University School — plus a major-university calendar anchored by Case Western, Cleveland State, and John Carroll, and one of the country’s most concentrated theater districts at Playhouse Square. That combination produces an enormous number of rooms the show is already designed to play in: after-prom events, college late-nights, fundraisers in the theater district, corporate events at the Huntington Convention Center. The format is consent-driven, clean by default, and adaptable to whichever room I’m walking into. Cleveland is a four-hour drive from Lansing and sits inside my included Ohio travel radius, so there’s no travel-fee surprise on the back end.
