I’m Roger Minton, The Timeless Hypnotist. I do comedy hypnosis, mentalism, and a motivational keynote called “When the Curtain Rises.” I’m based in Lansing, Michigan, and I tour Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, with nationwide travel on request. After 25-plus years on stage, I built a show around volunteers: real audience members, no plants, no stooges, and nobody leaves the stage embarrassed. If the show doesn’t land, I’ll make it right.

I have 25-plus years on stage across magic, speaking, and now hypnosis. My show is built around volunteers: real audience members, no plants, no stooges, and nobody leaves the stage embarrassed. The volunteers are the story. My job is to point the lights.
The keynote, “When the Curtain Rises,” grew out of 25-plus years of walking out in front of rooms. It’s a talk about stage fright for anyone who performs, presents, pitches, or leads. The working title on stage was “Do it nervous,” and I kept it.
The guarantee is short. If the show doesn’t land for your audience, I’ll make it right. Nobody’s ever asked me to. I still mean it.

How Hypnosis Actually Works
A working hypnotist explains the phenomenon in plain English, separating science from stage trick.
Why stage hypnosis earned a bad reputation, and how to fix it.
From exploitative bar shows to a volunteer-first model. An honest conversation about cleaning up the craft.
“Do it nervous”: the talk about the gap.
Twenty-five-plus years of walking out in front of rooms, distilled into a keynote about stage fright for anyone who performs, presents, or leads.
Magic, mentalism, hypnosis: how one career adds up.
I’ve spent 25-plus years on stage across magic, speaking, comedy hypnosis, and mentalism. The interesting question isn’t how someone ends up working in all four, it’s what those disciplines borrow from each other once you’re on stage.
